Missing paperwork is the most common reason a registry gets postponed. Collect these in advance.
From the seller
Original sale deed, encumbrance certificate, latest tax receipts, utility bills and a no-dues letter from the society.
From the buyer
Identity and address proof, PAN card, passport photos and the stamp duty payment receipt. Bring two witnesses with ID.
